October 2005
Dear TMHS parent,
As many of you know, the All Night Long Graduation Committee is a group of parents, guardians, teachers, administrators and community members who come together each year to organize a fantastic end-of-year celebration for graduating TMHS students. The event begins shortly after the graduation ceremony and continues until 5 am the following morning!
We will transform the high school into a wonderful place that will not be recognized by the students as they gather for an exciting night of fun, friendship, activities, and MUCH food! In the past we have had a bungee run, an obstacle course, caricature artists, tattoos, ping pong, raffles, music, a casino area and a hypnotist. And this year we have some ideas for some new activities for the students!
An event of this magnitude requires a full year of planning and many, many volunteers! All Night Long depends on donations of time, money, prizes and food. But, the reward is an investment in our kids that pays back each year as the All Night Long tradition continues to grow. You will find on the reverse side of this letter a list of some of the ways you can help with this very important event. Please look it over and fill out the tear-off section and mail it back to one of the co-chairs at your earliest convenience. This event is as important to parents as it is to students because it allows you to relax, knowing that your son/daughter is safe at a fully chaperoned, drug and alcohol-free party. So, please try to help out in any way you can.
We have also listed our upcoming meeting dates on the back of this letter. We will be meeting at TMHS once or twice a month for about 1-2 hours throughout the school year. Please try to stop by to share your ideas with us. We will try to keep to this schedule, but occasionally, dates may have to change. Please refer to the town-wide calendar, the local cable channel or our website for updates.
This year we will be having a very special event for adults. We are happy to invite you to come see the hypnotist who all your kids are talking about!! Steve Wronkers, the hypnotist who has been “wowing” the TMHS seniors for many years will be our special guest at an adult fundraiser and raffle to be held at the Elks Hall on Saturday, January 28, 2006. Tickets will be limited so please check the website for more details on this very exciting evening of fun!
Our new website will be updated with important information regarding meeting dates, volunteer opportunities and event information throughout the year. Please visit this site often to keep abreast of all things happening with All Night Long 2006! Our website address is tmhsgradnight.com .
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. We hope to hear from you soon!
